關於Ode, About Ode

《Ode》是我迄今唱過最難，但也最讓我興奮的作品。專輯共有十首歌曲，包含對「人定勝天」的嘲諷，也有模仿英國作家吳爾芙的意識流寫作風格，用詩意語言一首身體寫給宇宙的詩，表達在混亂中靜靜等待、在暴風裡學會呼吸的過程。也有我對於關係的體會：有時只要靜靜享受當下就足夠美好。專輯中還有 Tom 對 Eric Dolphy 的致敬，歌詞以「they like that / they don’t like that」對比，揭示社會對女性行為的規範與限制，也表達我在 Me Too 運動中的感受。

Ode is the most challenging album I’ve ever sung, and also the one that excites me the most. The album features ten songs, including a playful critique of “man versus nature” and pieces inspired by the stream-of-consciousness style of British writer Virginia Woolf. Using poetic language, it becomes a poem from the body to the universe, expressing the process of waiting quietly amid chaos and learning to breathe through the storm.

The album also reflects my thoughts on relationships: sometimes simply being present in the moment is enough. It includes Tom’s tribute to Eric Dolphy, while lyrics like “they like that / they don’t like that” reveal societal rules and restrictions placed on women, as well as my feelings connected to the Me Too movement.
